The T Touring I am currently using in the Meltdown started out as a late '31 A coupe, bought in 2004 from the guy that imported it from New Mexico. When two seats were no longer enough, the coupe body was sold on to finance a Tudor which the whole family could fit in. This left my old coupe chassis bare. After a brief flirtation with a hand-made boat-tail body, I managed to talk Phil Wells into selling me the Touring body he had intended to use himself for many years. A few weekends and evenings soon saw the T body astride my rails and ready to go. Whether this body remains in place I'm unsure. I'd ideally like an A body back on the A chassis, preferably open top, but I'm in no rush to start pulling it apart just yet. Dropping a T body on an A frame has it's roots in the earliest days of hot rodding, so I can live with it for a while longer.
